That Moment…
When you want to play xbox live for human interaction, after you haven’t for months…AND YOU CAN’T GET A CONNECTION.
feriket asked: I could understand why you feel disgusted with the rape+noncon=love thing because I feel the same way.(Some people have kinks like that). I like yaoi because of personal reasons, but if you're not comfortable with it, then there is no need to change your mind about it. Just know that there are good yaoi with relationship developments. I would recommend Merry Checker, Doushitemo Furetakunai, Arashi no Ato, and Amato Amaro if you want to try it, just because.
I personally think I would like yaoi if I could find something that fits my taste, and have a good/stable plot for character and relationship development. That’s mostly my issue. I’m honestly trying to give it a few shots before solidly deciding that I dislike/hate it. I can handle yuri just fine, so I feel I should be able to do the same for yaoi.
Thank you for the recommendations, I’ll be sure to take a look. :3
Anonymous asked: If you're looking for yaoi that doesn't have 'he raped me but i love it really' as a theme, I would suggest reading Doushitemo Furetakunai. It's very good (and mutual).
Thank you. :3 And if you have a tumblr account, I’d like to know whom you are. XD
Reasons To Hate Yaoi
Just speaking my mind here, not going out to “bash” anyone…
Basically, any yaoi I have seen has had this scenario: “I’m going to rape/molest you and you will like it.” “No! Please! Don’t rape me!”
-LATER…-
“I can’t believe he raped/molested me! But I kind of liked it and I hope I can get in a serious relationship with him..”
..Now tell me, WHY do people like this and consider it right/romantic/sexy?
Indeed, I have not seen any shounen ai/cute animes where the couple actually GROWS a loving relationship from the moment they meet. This is just what I’ve seen from EVERY yaoi anime suggested from the crazed fans.
If someone can actually FIND something to change my view on yaoi, that’d be FANTASTIC. I’m not searching for an argument here, just hoping there ARE fans of yaoi out there who actually like a relationship that makes sense without forced touching/sex.
It’s not right in the real world, so what makes it okay and attractive in a story? To me, personally, characters are like people, and I find that scenario horrifying…
On the side note for anyone who feels they should try arguing with me, I am female, I do support gay rights, and I happen to have a few gay characters. So no, it’s not merely for the fact that yaoi (by definition) is a story about gay men. It’s the way they go about the characters becoming romantically interested in each other.
